Verified workforce identity for Nigeria's informal economy
VeriWrk is a workforce verification platform built specifically for Nigeria. We help workers prove who they are and what they can do, and we help employers hire people they can actually trust. Here is the problem we are solving. Nigeria has over 35 million people who are either unemployed or working informally. Most of them are skilled and experienced but have no way to show it. No work history, no certificates that employers will accept, no way to build a reputation beyond word of mouth. On the other side, businesses struggle to hire with confidence because there is no easy way to verify who someone really is or whether their experience checks out. The result is a labour market held together by guesswork and referrals. VeriWrk fixes this for both sides. Workers create a verified profile that follows them throughout their entire career, from their first job all the way to retirement. It covers who they are, what they can do, where they have worked, and what previous employers say about them. Employers get access to a pool of people who have already been checked, plus tools to manage their workforce and stay on top of compliance without the usual headache. We also built VeriOps, an AI powered add on that gives business owners a real time view of what is happening across their workforce. Think of it like a dashboard that flags problems before they become expensive, answers questions in plain language, and keeps everything in one place. Our plan is straightforward. Workers join for free and get their first three job matches at no cost. Once they have experienced the value, they move to a paid tier. Businesses pay for verification and compliance tools. We are also working with Nigerian banks to offer VeriOps directly to their small business customers, which gives us a way to reach thousands of employers through relationships banks already have. We are currently building our MVP and raising $200,000 to get to our first paying customers within 18 months.
